The portable tachometer has the shape of a gun and is a device suitable for immediate control of revolutions. This portable tachometer measures the rotational speed of moving objects, such as axles, transmissions, sprockets, etc. without contact. The portable tachometer has a laser that sends out a beam of light, and a photoreceptor that detects the contrast between light and dark in the reflected light. The portable tachometer measures revolutions over a range of 2.5 to 99,999 rpm. You can read the value on the portable tachometer’s backlit display. The measuring distance is between 50 and 500 mm.

The portable tachometer has two measurement modes: a manual mode and another automatic. In manual measurement mode, the handheld tachometer measures as long as the trigger is activated. In the automatic mode, it measures as long as this mode is activated. The portable tachometer also has the MAX/MIN/AVG mode, which automatically determines the maximum, minimum and average values.
